ONE GOOD REASON TO GO SEE FAME

Fame came out this weekend in theaters. With an entire new cast of fresh talent, hip and updated dance routines and songs, and all that performance arts musical jazz that High School Musical can only dream of achieving, Fame is definitely “the now.” It’s that one song, though, that IRENE CARA made famous, “Out Here On My Own,” that probably trumps any other reason to go see the movie. NATURI NAUGHTON’s 2009 version makes some other singers out here want to sit down. Above is Naturi on “Good Morning America” last week singing “Out Here on My Own.” Go Naturi!
